Privacy Policy for HD Video Downloader Pro

Welcome to HD Video downloader pro ("we", "our", or "us"). We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how our mobile application handles your data. Because our application is built with a privacy-first, serverless architecture, we do not collect, store, or transmit your personal data to any external servers.

2. Data We Do NOT Collect
Bolt Browser operates entirely locally on your device. We do not have user accounts, registration systems, or backend databases. Therefore, we do not collect:

  • Names, email addresses, or phone numbers.

  • Your browsing history or search queries.

  • The links of the videos you download.

  • The downloaded media files.

3. Local Storage & Processing
All core functionalities occur locally on your device:

  • Media Files: Videos are compiled locally using on-device processing (FFmpeg) and saved directly to your device's native Gallery (via the Android MediaStore API). We do not have access to your downloaded files.

  • App Economy (Points System): Your earned points from watching ads are stored entirely in a local, encrypted database (Hive DB) on your physical device. If you uninstall the app, this local data is permanently deleted.

  • Browsing Data: Any cookies or session data generated while using the built-in web browser are stored locally on your device to facilitate media extraction and are never transmitted to our developers.

4. Third-Party Services (AdMob)
While we do not collect personal data, we use Google AdMob to provide advertisements that keep the app free.
Google AdMob may collect and use certain data, such as your device's Advertising ID, IP address, and interaction with ads, to provide personalized advertising.

  • You can opt-out of personalized advertising in your Android device settings by navigating to Settings > Privacy > Ads.

5. Permissions Required by the App
To function correctly, Bolt Browser requests the following standard Android permissions:

  • Internet Access: Required to load web pages and download media files.

  • Foreground Service (Data Sync/Media Transcoding): Required to keep downloads and local video compilation active in the background when you minimize the app. This is accompanied by a persistent notification so you always know when a task is running.

  • Shared Storage (MediaStore API): Used strictly to save downloaded MP4 files directly to your device's video gallery. Note: We never request "Manage External Storage" or full file system access.

6. Children’s Privacy
Bolt Browser does not knowingly collect any personal information from children under the age of 13. Because our app contains an integrated web browser and serves advertisements, it is intended for a general audience. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information (which is technically impossible due to our lack of servers), please contact us, and we will guide you on how to clear the app's local data.

7. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in Google Play Store policies or app features. Any changes will be updated on this page with a new "Effective Date".
