Welcome to Plant Finder ("we," "our," or "us"). We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring you have a safe and secure experience while using our mobile application (the "App").

To provide you with our premium plant identification and care services, the App may request access to or collect certain information:

  • Camera Access: We require permission to access your device’s camera to capture photos of plants for identification purposes. Images captured are processed instantly using Gemini AI models and are not permanently stored on our servers unless you explicitly save them to your local "My Garden" history on your device.

  • Storage & Media Access: We require permission to read and write to your device's local storage to save your scanned plants, offline care history, and growth diary timeline directly on your device.

  • Payment & Transaction Information: All financial transactions, leaf token purchases, and premium upgrades are securely processed and verified on your device via Google Play Billing and RevenueCat. We do not collect, store, or have access to your credit card, bank account, or other sensitive payment credentials.

  • Ad-Related & Device Identifiers: To deliver personalized ads, our advertising partners (such as Google AdMob) may collect unique device identifiers (such as Android Advertising ID), general location data, and app usage statistics.

2. Third-Party Services We Use

To deliver our services, we integrate trusted third-party SDKs. These companies may collect or process your data in accordance with their own privacy policies:

  • Google Play Services / AdMob: Used for serving rewarded and interstitial ads.

  • RevenueCat: Used for processing secure in-app purchases and managing leaf token balances.

  • Google Gemini AI: Used for image analysis and plant identification. The images you upload are sent securely to Google’s Generative AI API solely for the purpose of plant identification and care recommendation processing.

3. Data Storage & Security

We do not operate backend servers that store your personal identifiers. Your plant scan history, notes, and local app preferences are stored locally on your device using secure preference keys. We implement industry-standard practices to protect any transient data in transit during third-party API processing.

4. Children’s Privacy

Our App is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal identifiable information from children under 13. If we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will immediately delete this from our records.

5. Changes to This Privacy Policy
